GEIST® Super Glue Remover

The GEIST Super Glue Remover is a specially developed cleaner for the safe removal of super glue, ballpoint pen, and graffiti stains on pigmented smooth leathers, imitation leathers, vinyl, plastics, and textiles.

It works by dissolving cured adhesives and ink residues without unnecessarily attacking the leather colour — making it ideal for professional leather cleaning and care. Unlike many other removers, it is made without volatile or explosive solvents, making it safer for professional users.

Please note: most glue spots cannot be removed completely, even when fresh. Always test on a hidden area before use.

Instructions

1. Identify the material – GEIST Super Glue Remover is designed for pigmented smooth leathers (surface-dyed leathers where water does not penetrate). Always test first on an inconspicuous area. Not suitable for aniline, suede, or PU leather without a prior test.

2. Preparation – Clean the surface with GEIST Rapid Cleaner according to instructions.

3. Application – Apply GEIST Super Glue Remover to a lint-free cloth or cotton swab.

   • Super glue stains: Moisten the glue spot, leave for 1–2 minutes, then carefully rub until the glue becomes sticky and can be removed. For older stains, allow longer dwell time.

   • Ballpoint pen & graffiti stains: Rub carefully until dissolved. For older residues, allow a short dwell time.

4. While using – Only rub while the surface is wet. If it becomes sticky, let it dry before continuing. Avoid working over large areas; treat only the stain itself.

5. After treatment – Wipe away residues with a damp lint-free cloth. Protect leather with GEIST Dye & Friction Blocker to prevent future staining. If colour loss occurs, restore with GEIST Easy Colour Restorer.

6. Use with caution –

   • Plastics & vinyl: Contains organic solvent which can soften surfaces. Do not over-wet or leave soaked cloths on plastics. Wipe off immediately with a damp cloth after use.

   • Textiles: Can soften foams or sponge rubber. Treat only the surface and rinse thoroughly after use. Do not allow it to penetrate deep into fabrics.

7. Safety – Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Causes severe eye irritation. If in eyes, rinse gently with water and remove contact lenses if possible. Seek medical advice if irritation persists. Wash hands after use. Always read the label before using.
